Meet Jack & Sophie
The kangaroos behind the billboard, and the heart behind this firm.

The Billboard That Started It All
If you've driven I-40 or I-75 around Knoxville, you've probably done a double-take. A kangaroo on a law firm billboard? That's Jack, and yes, he's real.
The billboard points to jackedlaw.com, a site that redirects straight to Montpelier & Associates. It's bold. It's memorable. And it's 100% Dale Montpelier.
Dale doesn't just practice law. He lives with personality, conviction, and a pair of kangaroos. The billboard is a reflection of who he is: someone who stands out, works hard, and never takes himself too seriously.
Meet the Animals

Jack
The Billboard Star
Jack is the red kangaroo you've seen towering on the billboard. He's the face of jackedlaw.com and the reason half of East Tennessee does a double-take on their morning commute. Bold, photogenic, and impossible to ignore, just like the firm he represents.

Sophie
The Office Regular
Sophie is the younger kangaroo who follows Dale everywhere, including the office. She makes regular appearances at schools, nursing homes, and community events across East Tennessee, stealing hearts wherever she hops. She's shyer than Jack but twice as cuddly.
Bringing Joy Across East Tennessee
Dale regularly brings Jack and Sophie to visit schools, nursing homes, and community events across East Tennessee. These visits aren't a marketing stunt. They're a reflection of who Dale is.
School Visits
When a Kangaroo Walks Into a School

Students can't believe their eyes as Sophie strolls down the hallway
When Dale walks into a school with a kangaroo, the reaction is always the same: disbelief, then pure joy. Students crowd the hallways, teachers pull out their phones, and for a few hours, the whole school is talking about the kangaroo from the law firm.
These visits are free and open to any school in the region. Dale believes that community connection starts young, and that a kid who meets a kangaroo at school will remember that experience for the rest of their life.

Nursing Home Visits
The Moments That Matter Most
The nursing home visits are where you really see the impact. Residents who haven't smiled in weeks light up when Sophie hops into the room. Staff members say the visits are the highlight of the month.
Sophie is especially gentle with elderly residents. She'll sit in their laps, nuzzle into their arms, and stay perfectly still while they pet her. For many residents, it's the most physical affection they've received in a long time.

Pure joy. Sophie makes a new friend at a local nursing home.

“A law firm should be more than legal services. It should be part of the community it serves.”
— Dale J. Montpelier

The Man Behind the Firm
Dale Montpelier has practiced law since 1994. He's admitted to the Supreme Court and licensed in three states. He's Board Certified, served in the Naval Reserve, led the Domestic Advocacy Group, volunteered with the Boy Scouts, and contributed to the Coast Guard Auxiliary.
Somewhere in between all of that, he started raising kangaroos.
Dale isn't your typical attorney. He's the kind of person who bottle-feeds a baby kangaroo at his desk between client calls, brings Sophie to visit nursing homes on weekends, and still manages to run one of the most well-respected family law practices in East Tennessee.
